You can benefit in the following ways from being an active member of a student organization in the College of Business:
Some student organizations are honorary societies recognizing academic achievement. Others are special interest groups, emphasizing a specific business discipline. Many are open to any CoB majors who have an interest in enhancing their connections to the world of business during their undergraduate studies.
For specific information about any of the student organizations associated with the CoB, refer to the college bulletin boards for notices of meetings and activities, or inquire at the relevant academic program office. Many of the following organizations are open to all CoB majors who have an interest in joining.
Business Fraternities
These co-ed organizations are open to all College of Business majors. Each semester these organizations offer an intensive information session to acquaint and solicit potential members.
Honor Societies
Invitation to join any of these organizations is based solely on your academic achievement in your major or overall while at JMU. Contact the relevant academic program in the College of Business for information regarding eligibility criteria for any of the following student organizations.
Major-Specific Organizations
These student organizations focus on activities beneficial primarily to designated majors in the College of Business. Some have membership stipulations regarding cumulative credit hours and/or grade point average. Some invite membership from students in other academic programs at JMU. Contact the relevant academic program in the College of Business for information regarding eligibility criteria.
