ASC Hours
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

The Academic Services Center is located on the second floor of Zane Showker Hall. ASC is not open during the evenings or on weekends; it runs on the university schedule.


Student Organizations

You can benefit in the following ways from being an active member of a student organization in the College of Business:

  • learn about your profession through events such as on-campus speakers and business tours
  • network with peers and alumni with similar interests and/or experience in a particular profession
  • gain leadership experience as an officer or committee chair
  • enhance your resume with active participation in organization activities
  • interact with representatives from some of the major firms recruiting on the JMU campus.

Some student organizations are honorary societies recognizing academic achievement. Others are special interest groups, emphasizing a specific business discipline. Many are open to any CoB majors who have an interest in enhancing their connections to the world of business during their undergraduate studies.

For specific information about any of the student organizations associated with the CoB, refer to the college bulletin boards for notices of meetings and activities, or inquire at the relevant academic program office. Many of the following organizations are open to all CoB majors who have an interest in joining.

Business Fraternities

These co-ed organizations are open to all College of Business majors. Each semester these organizations offer an intensive information session to acquaint and solicit potential members.

Honor Societies

Invitation to join any of these organizations is based solely on your academic achievement in your major or overall while at JMU. Contact the relevant academic program in the College of Business for information regarding eligibility criteria for any of the following student organizations.
